Description
The experimental study of energy-energy correlators is rapidly emerging as a powerful tool for understanding the QCD dynamics that govern jet formation at the LHC. These observables have a particularly close relationship with the operators in the underlying field theory, allowing for strong theory-experiment correspondences and relatively straightforward theoretical interpretations of experimental results. This talk presents a detailed study of the QCD four-point operator using resolved energy-energy correlators in high-energy jets at the CMS experiment. Our results provide a unique view of the QCD dipole and tripole and are sensitive to angular correlations in the QCD showering dynamics.
